Heather Deighan is a highly engaged, empathetic, and compassionate therapist who believes that relationship and connection are the keys to finding meaning and purpose in life. She is a member of the Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association (CCPA), a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), and a Registered Counselling Therapist Candidate (RCT) with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists (NSCCT).
Heather strives to create tailor-made solutions that will help youth navigate this confusing world and gain the skills to help them live their best lives. She is a facilitator, career and addictions counsellor and spiritual guide who is passionate about supporting individuals on their healing paths as she employs a trauma-informed lens using narrative, cognitive behavioral and acceptance commitment therapy, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and strength-based approaches.
As founder, Heather’s own personal and spiritual journey took her away from a 20-year career in communications into a theological awakening, which led her to become a therapist. As a teenager, she remembers the reward of supporting friends who were struggling, so it was no surprise to her when God eventually led her into this dynamic work.
Through compassion, collaboration and connection, Heather holistically works with clients to help them move from a place of surviving to one of thriving.
“Feeling is the pathway to healing” – Heather.
